Basic and Clinical Research

Several research projects are underway at CCT. Research projects are typically multi-disciplinary in nature, with a focus on improving patient care. Some examples are below:

Medical cannabis products for Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) - an exciting study involving several pain clinicians and researchers to investigate the clinical protocols for medical cannabis derivatives for opioid use disorder.
Cannabis-based precision medicine for osteoarthritis therapy - a truly interdisciplinary research and clinical investigation, bringing together state-of-the-art biomarkers research, surgical research, clinical research and pharmaceutical research to bear onto new therapies for osteoarthritis.
Cannabinoids for inflammatory conditions - a preclinical investigation towards an intervention study, in collaboration with clinicians-scientists from Mt. Sinai Hospital and University of Toronto.
